 "Create-your-own-curriculum" guide for Latin:

1.  Read over the descriptions below and pick the level that fits your child the best!

These Latin materials are great because you can tell at a glance what needs
to be done at each lesson.  No teacher prep (or even pre-reading) is necessary!
Each lesson is short and sweet (Charlotte Mason would approve) and your
child can easily move at his or her own pace completing several lessons at
once, doing one lesson a day, or one lesson a week.

LATIN'S NOT SO TOUGH! Level 1
I really like this series.  Level 1, intended for 1st or 2nd graders, focuses on the Latin alphabet  and combinations thereof such as diphthongs and special consonant sounds.  Work is presented in a workbook form punctuated with fun activities.

Homeschool short set Level 1: $24.45
includes student workbook, answer key, quizzes, and flashcards

Pronunciation CD: $8.00/cassette: $6.00

LATIN'S NOT SO TOUGH!  Level 2
This book starts off with a quick review of concepts taught in Level 1.  The student then begins to study Latin vocabulary, reading and writing words.  It is recommended by the publisher that mid-elementary grade students who have not yet studied Latin, start with this level rather than Level 1.

Homeschool short set Level 2: $29.45
includes student workbook, answer key, quizzes, and flashcards

Pronunciation CD: $8.00/cassette: $6.00

LATIN'S NOT SO TOUGH! Level 3
Starting off with a quick review of concepts learned in Levels 1 & 2, the student then moves on to reading and writing simple Latin sentences.  (If you have a 5th or 6th grader who is just starting Latin, the publisher recommends starting with this level.)

Homeschool short set Level 3: $33.45
includes student workbook, answer key, quizzes, and flashcards

Pronunciation CD: $8.00/cassette: $6.00
