Your second grader will continue his journey through time studying the medieval period using H E Marshall's outstanding Our Island Story as the "anchor" book.  (This book was actually used in Charlotte Mason's own schools!) Your student will enjoy filling in and personalizing the Book Of the Centuries, a Charlotte Mason concept, and will have fun learning geography using our "natural" approach.

(Please look over our CYOC Reading page for more books!)
When choosing readers for your child, endeavor to choose books that will be interesting to him or her.  Also, remember that for young readers it is better to have them read books that are too easy rather than too hard.
